Today in class students began working on balancing chemical equations. We will continue to practice this tomorrow. There will be a quiz this week over what we are able to cover on Monday and Tuesday. As it stands right now, I’ll be out Wednesday and Thursday.

We will be taking a quiz over sections 1-3 tomorrow. The test over Chp 20 will be on Friday. Study guides went home today.

Students began Chp 20 on chemical bonding. Tuesday we have classroom guidance, Wednesday we will be going to lab and Thursday we are having the health screenings. We will pick back up with Chp 20 on Friday.

Began Chp 16 today. Students read Section 1 about atoms and answered section review questions. We will finish discussion of section 1 tomorrow.

We discussed Archimede’s and Pascal’s Principle today. Test over Chp 16 is Friday.

Students began discussing the differences between elements and compounds and the different types of mixtures and some characteristics of each. There is no homework tonight. There will be a lab safety quiz on Thursday.
